“You’ve become quite a pain.” Folk snapped his finger at his followers. “Bring her to the dining hall. Gather the rest of the students and teachers. It’s time we teach them a lesson they won’t forget.”
One of the Ravens nodded. “Yes, Commander.”
He pointed at Ryoko. “Grab the other one.”
I fought again. “No, leave her alone!”
Folk laughed menacingly. “I don’t think so.”
“She’s got nothing to do with this,” I tried again, the panic tightening my chest. This was exactly what I wanted to avoid. How had they found me? It should’ve taken them longer to realise I wasn’t returning.
How did this happen?
The Ravens pulled me out of my room and into the hallway where students were spilling out of their rooms. Some laughed, others gasped, most of them didn’t seem to know how to react.
