"Why did you get back so fast, Kaia? Did you find the money already?"
I looked up at Ate Belle as I handed her the receipt for Lola’s hospital admission. I let out a long sigh and glanced behind me. Dylan was standing there with his hands in his pockets, watching my every move like a hawk.
I scowled at him when he smirked, then turned back to Ate Belle. "Finding money is easy if you know where to look," I replied simply.
I bit my lip, knowing that "finding money" really just meant Dylan having a lot of it. Must be nice. "Is Lola asleep?" I added.
She nodded quickly, smiling. "She’s been waiting for you since yesterday, even though I told her it might take a while since you had to secure the funds. I didn't expect you to be back this soon. I’m sure she’ll be thrilled to see
