Nandini followed Riya to her room. "Riya, can I talk to you for some time?"
"Ma, I am tired. Can we please talk tomorrow?"
"I won't take much time Riya" Nandini continued "I heard what you whispered down. Why Riya? Aren't you happy for your brother?"
"Ma, bhai has been my everything, my support system I can never wish anything bad for him."
"Than why beta? Aarohi is his wife. You need to respect her"
"Ma please, I don't want to talk about anyone who is not even here and my own family has been giving me lectures because of her. Please drop the topic" she said and walked into the washroom.
Nandini stood and stared at Riya who walked away.
She shook her head and left the room. She knew her daughter was possessive for her bhai but hoped she would eventually get along with her Bhabhi.
