The next morning Raina dropped Aarohi and gave her a day off. Aarohi thanked her as the previous week was hectic with the award preparations. She needed time to unwind. She walked in and saw everyone at the breakfast table. She smiled at everyone as she looked at Akash.
"How was it?" Nandini asked and Aarohi filled in the details not very excitingly. Sumitra sensed the discomfort in her tone and turned towards Akash suggesting "Why don't you take an off Akash?"
"I can't dadi" Akash said busy munching on his toast
"Can't or won't?"
"Can't dadi. I have a surgery lined up"
That ended the conversation. Akash immediately left nodding at everyone and Aarohi eyes had silent tears.
Nandini and Sumitra glanced at each other and understood something needed to be done.
Aarohi went to her room
