Chapter Thirteen
“Emily,” she called again.
“You were completely elsewhere. I’ve been here for thirty minutes and you didn’t even notice.”
“Sorry, I didn’t realize. Is this for me?” she asked, noticing the package Alice was holding.
“Yes, the boss asked me to give it to you,” Alice replied before turning on her heels to return to her desk.
“Wow, a package for me? I’ve never received one before. What could it be?”
Emily opened the package and discovered a tight-fitting red dress with an open back, designed to reveal a little skin and highlight her curves, paired with low-heeled pumps and a black-and-brown Gucci bag, clearly designer, along with a letter.
She was speechless.
“Isn’t this a bit much for just a business dinner?”
“It’s gorgeous. A real princess treatment,” Alice comment
