Episode 6: The First Death The underground room erupted into chaos. Men poured in from both sides—black masks, guns raised, footsteps echoing like thunder in a tomb. Aria’s breath caught in her throat. This was no longer a mansion. It was a war zone. “Stay behind me!” Damian ordered sharply. But Aria couldn’t move. Her body refused to obey. Her eyes were locked on the men rushing toward them. “Damian—” she whispered. A gunshot cut her off. The first attacker fell instantly. Aria flinched violently. Her gaze snapped to Damian. He hadn’t hesitated. Not even for a second. His face was unreadable—cold, focused, controlled—as he fired again. Another man dropped. Then another. The sound of bullets filled the room like rain made of death. Aria’s hands trembled. “Noâ€Ķ” she whispered, stepping back. Damian noticed instantly. “Don’t look away,” he said sharply without turning to her. But she couldn’t listen. She couldn’t. Because for the first time in her lifeâ€Ķ She was seeing it. Real killing. Not movies. Not stories. Reality. A man rushed Damian from the side. “Behind you!” Aria screamed. Damian spun instantly. One strike. One shot. The man fell at his feet. Silence for half a second. Then chaos again. Aria stumbled back until she hit the wall. Her breathing turned uneven. “Stopâ€Ķ pleaseâ€Ķ” But Damian didn’t stop. He moved like something trained beyond human limits. Precise. Merciless. Efficient. Every shot had a purpose. Every movement ended a life. And Ariaâ€Ķ Aria was watching all of it. Her heart broke in real time. Then it happened. One attacker broke through the line and grabbed Aria from behind. “Got her!” he shouted. Aria screamed. “Let me go!” The man dragged her backwards, pressing a gun to her head. “Drop the weapon, Blackwood!” Damian froze. For the first time— He stopped firing. Silence crashed into the room. All eyes turned. Aria’s chest rose and fell rapidly. “Damianâ€Ķ” The man holding her laughed. “Now we talk.” Damian slowly lowered his gun. Step by step. He walked forward. His voice was dangerously calm. “Let her go.” The man smirked. “Or what? You’ll kill me?” Aria felt the gun press harder against her temple. Her vision blurred with fear. Then— Damian’s expression changed. Not anger. Not panic. Something darker. Something final. “You shouldn’t have touched her,” he said quietly. The man laughed again. And that was his mistake. In one movement so fast, Aria barely saw it— Damian pulled a second weapon from behind him. One shot. Perfect aim. The attacker froze. His grip loosened instantly. And Aria stumbled forward as his body collapsed behind her. Silence. Dead silence. For a moment, nobody moved. Not even Aria. She turned slowly. The man was gone. Gone. Her breath caught violently. “Noâ€Ķ” she whispered again, shaking. “Noâ€Ķ you killed himâ€Ķ” Damian stepped closer. His voice was low. Controlled. “He was going to kill you.” Aria backed away from him like he was something unfamiliar. “Don’t come near me,” she said shakily. That made him pause. Just slightly. The remaining attackers began retreating, realizing they had lost. Footsteps faded. Gunfire stopped. Only breathing remained. Aria stared at Damian. At the blood on the floor. At the man who just ended a life like it meant nothing. Her voice broke. “How can you be so calm?” Damian looked at her for a long moment. Then he said quietly: “Because if I hesitateâ€Ķ you die.” That hit her harder than anything else. Her voice dropped. “So this is what you areâ€Ķ” A killer. A monster. Damian didn’t deny it. He didn’t even flinch. But something in his eyes shifted when he looked at her. Something almostâ€Ķ restrained. “I told you to stay out of this world,” he said. Aria shook her head, tears forming. “You dragged me into it!” Silence. Then— Damian stepped closer again, slower this time. Aria didn’t move away. She couldn’t. Her body was frozen between fear and something she didn’t understand. His voice softened slightly. “They will come again,” he said. “And next time, they won’t fail.” Aria whispered, “Why are you telling me this?” Damian looked at her. Longer this time. Because for a brief momentâ€Ķ Even he looked unsure. “Because you need to decide,” he said finally. “Whether you stay alive inside this worldâ€Ķ” He paused. “â€Ķor you let it consume you.” Aria’s breath shook. And for the first time since she met himâ€Ķ She realized something terrifying. Leaving him might not save her. It might destroy her . ðŸ”Ĩ END OF EPISODE 6 (CLIFFHANGER)
