51 In July Alex finishes filming for the summer cycle of Fourth, and Paul finishes writing for it forever. They don’t have much time to relax, though. Paul’s house needs to be packed up so Gemma can move in and Paul and Alex can finally, officially live together. The process takes longer than moving out of Alex’s old apartment did. Paul had a life there for years before Alex was even in L.A. He owns furniture that deserves a fate other than burning. “I’m going to miss this place,” Paul says, looking around at his room that’s been reduced to boxes and a disassembled bed frame. Afternoon light streams through the windows unfiltered by curtains and paints yellow rectangles on the floor. The room seems oddly smaller now, the way rooms do when they’re empty and stripped of all the equipment
