39 By the weekend Paul attempts to put all thoughts of Alex and Liam — and Alex and Liam, because that image is vivid and pretty and awful and odd — out of his head. He and Craig have beach plans. It’s overcast out when they wake up — late, because they’ve both been working a lot and sleep and s*x are good — and nowhere near the forecast eighty. The beach is one of their good places, though, and they’ve been looking forward to this all week, so they go anyway.
