23 When he wakes up on day two, Alex feels like a human being again. The crisis, at least for now, is past. Zach and James kissed and the world didn’t end. Alex, meanwhile, didn’t combust from the horror of it. Or freeze at the feel of lips other than the ones he wants and doesn’t get to have anymore. And all things considered, Liam was more decent about the whole thing than Alex expected. Alex may not feel in control of his world, but he feels capable.
