Chapter SeventeenThe next person I had to let know, and the one I dreaded telling most, was Mum. This was one of the hardest things I have ever done, I just hoped she would understand and not be too disappointed in me for going so far away. I travelled down to see her that weekend, she was so pleased to see me, I felt so guilty having to tell her I was moving away. We sat and had a coffee and one of her delicious homemade scones. “So, what brings you here then?” I looked up at her. “What do you mean?” I said as I got back up to make myself another coffee, I could have done with something stronger if I'm honest. “Well, I haven't seen you for a while so I'm assuming you have some news for me” And indeed, I did have some news, if only she knew what. “So, come on then, are you pregnant?”
