Juno’s POV
“That is so much better.” I exclaimed. “She kept me cooped up for way too long.”
I jumped slightly from foot to foot and shook my hands.
Stop fooling around or let me back out! Lilith scolded and I narrowed my eyes.
Oh hush and let me have my fun!
Parker glanced worriedly at me and I chuckled.
“Don’t look at me like that.” I put my hands up and balled them into fists. “Let’s dance.”
He didn’t hesitate to throw a punch towards me. A smirk curled onto my lips as I moved aside slightly to avoid the punch.
“Have to be quicker than that Parky!” I exclaimed making him furrow his brows at me.
“Parky? Seriously?”
“Well yeah?” I threw a punch, aiming for his chest. He blocked the attacked, but just narrowly.
Parker growled as he held my fist tightly in his and pulled my arm behind my back. My back was against his chest as he held my arm back and it began to ache slightly.
I chuckled softly at him.
“Nice try Parky.”
I used my upper body strength to throw myself into the air and onto his shoulders. His head was between my legs and I took this chance to cut off his airline but squeezing my legs together tightly.
He tumbled over, bringing us both to the ground. I felt the impact through my side but didn’t let go of Parker as he clawed at my legs, struggling to breath.
For Goddess’s sake let him go!
Not until he forfeits.
You’re going to kill him!
I rolled my eyes at Lilith’s response. I wasn’t going to kill him.
“Ready to surrender?” I asked Parker softly and he nodded. He pat the mat below us and forfeited. I let go with a smirk and got up quickly
See, wasn’t that easy?
I teased Lilith and she grumbled.
You could’ve hurt him…
“That was pretty good. Your offense was good but it still needs work. In time it should be perfected..” Parker praised with a raspy voice. He rubbed his throat and my eyes wandered to the redness around it.
I guess I could’ve gone a little bit easy on him.
“Yeah I know it was good-“
“But-“ he glanced at me as he adjusted his watch. “You need to work on your defense and never be too cocky.”
Cocky? Me?
Yes, you.
Lilith said with an aggravated tone. She hated having to be in the background of our combined soul
Eh, she’d get over it.
“Yes captain” I saluted with a chuckle before smelling our mate nearby. I scanned the area and spotted him storming over to where Parker and I were.
Parker must have seen my change of attitude before he followed my line of sight and turned slightly pale.
“Alpha Reyes-“ He started but was stopped mid sentence when Elias glared at him.
“Parker was just helping me train. No need to get all worked up about it.” I stated, nonchalantly as I fixed my leggings.
Elias fixated his eyes on me and frowned slightly at my tone.
My eyes met his and I felt my heart soar.
He was gorgeous.
And he was mine.
Don’t even think about it!
Lilith scolded me and I rolled my eyes
What? I’m only thinking about it.
I turned my attention back to Parker, ignoring my mate’s fixated glance on me.
“Thanks for the training. I enjoyed having the company.”
I was genuine about what I said, but I mostly wanted to get under Elias’s skin. Which it did.
He glared at Parker and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
“Let’s go.”
I waved goodbye to Parker before walking away with Elias.
We made it out of the training facility in complete silence, which became quite boring.
Stop complaining and enjoy it.
Unlike you, I don’t like the silence.
“You didn’t have to be so rude.” I stated and he looked at me with annoyance.
“Lilith isn’t so talkative. You must be her wolf.”
“Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!” I congratulated and he stopped me in my tracks.
“Name.”
“Excuse me?” I frowned.
“What is your name. I would like to know the name of my mate’s wolf.”
“It’s Juno.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Juno.”
He took my hand and pressed his lips to my hand and I felt a shiver pass through my body.
His eyes looked up at me and I melted.
“Let’s go, my mother is expecting us.”
I snapped out of my trance and trailed behind my mate.
Don’t be stupid. Remember what he did to us!
It was an accident.
He attacked our pack and took us away!!
Lilith was right. Elias took us from everything we’ve ever known. We should hate him for everything.
But I couldn’t.
And sooner or later she wouldn’t either.
