Mated to My Kidnapper

Chapter 6

Vivian’s POV

I stared out the window of the pack house, overlooking the rebuilding of my pack since the attack.

“We lost her scent crossing into the Northern Territory.”

I heard Matt speak to me, everything seemed blurred together as he spoke.

It had been nearly a week since my little sisters kidnapping. Matt had a fast recovery from his shot wound, thank the Moon Goddess.

I wouldn’t know what would have happened if I lost both my sister and mate.

“The Northern Territory?” I asked again and Matthew nodded.

His eyes pitied me and I hated it.

He is only trying to help.

My wolf, Galena, spoke softly to me. She was hurting just as much as I was.

I can’t loose my sister. Not after everything we’ve gone through.

Matt must of felt the my overwhelming sadness because within seconds, he was at my side and comforting me as best as he could.

“We will find her my love. I promise.”

I shook my head.

“You can’t promise that.”

My wolf whined at my words. In spirit, she was beside me, sharing my pain.

“From what we’ve learned, the attackers were from the Dark Moon Pack.”

I quickly glanced at him with a look of shock.

“I thought we had a peace treaty with them?”

“We did.”

Then why did they attack?

Galena paced in thought as I just sighed and glanced out the window again.

My thoughts exactly..

“Any threats that go against the treaty is a declaration of a war. Do they not realize that?” I asked myself out loud, causing my mate to shake his head.

“Yes, but we don’t have the resources for another war my love.”

Matthew caressed my cheek as tears flowed down.

“We have to get her back Matt. She is my family. My little sister-“ I choked back tears as he pulled me into a hug.

“We will. I can assure you that I am doing everything in my power to get our family back.” His words comforted me and I wrapped my arms around him tighter.

Lilith’s POV

Juno let me back in control shortly after Elias had finally left us alone to go to the guest room that I was provided with and I took a quick shower to clean myself up a bit before our meeting with Luna Vanessa.

I slipped into a simple black dress and sat down at the vanity and brushed the tangles out of my hair, trying to get things off my mind.

Elias being one of the many things.

He was infuriating. Everything he did, angered me.

“This is so stupid.” I said to myself and put the brush down.

My eyes looked up and found my reflection.

“What are we even doing?” I asked myself before getting up.

I should have escaped by now.

I should be home, helping my family rebuild our pack.

Instead, I’m here getting ready to have dinner with Dark Moon’s Luna and my annoying mate

Someone knocked on the bedroom door and opened it cautiously.

“Hello?” A feminine voice called out.

I turned my body to see a young women around my age walk in. Her eyes met mine and a small smile appeared on her lips.

“There you are! Luna Vanessa sent me to fetch you for dinner.”

The women looked awfully similar to Brenda, only she was much younger and had a pair of bright green eyes instead of two different eye colors like Brenda did.

“I, uh-“ my brows furrowed for a split second as I scanned around the vanity to see if I needed to do anything else to seem presentable.

“If you’re not ready, I can come back-“

I stopped her mid-sentence.

“I’m ready.” I quickly got up and walked towards her. There were rules that needed to be followed when you attended a dinner party with other packs and I was prepared to focus.

Rule number 1: Never keep the hosts waiting.

I smiled at the women and stuck my hand out to introduce myself.

If I wanted to escape with my life, I would need allies from the inside.

“My name is-“ I started but she grabbed my hand and smiled before interrupting me.

“Lilith Myers of Running Waters.” Her cheeks turned red from embarrassment as I frowned in confusion at her.

“Everyone knows who you are. It’s not everyday that the pack’s Alpha brings a mate from another pack.”

“So what you’re saying is that I’m the talk of the town?” I asked and narrowed my eyes. “Fantastic.”

There was an awkward silence between us for a brief moment before she cleared her throat.

“Well, anyways, I’m Thalia.” She introduced and I nod.

“Great way to make new friends genius.” Juno chuckled at my attempt.

“Oh shut it.” I growled at my wolf in frustration. “I’m actually trying to escape.”

“You can start by not being so up-tight.” Juno argued.

I glanced up at Thalia and sighed.

Maybe Juno was right, I was a little harsh.

“Should we go ahead and go? We don’t want to keep Luna Vanessa waiting for very long I suppose.” I said to Thalia and she nodded.

“She doesn’t mind waiting-“

I ignored her and walked out of the bedroom with her trailing behind.

“Or we can just go ahead and leave.” I heard her mumble.

“I would just rather not have her wait on me. Especially after everything Luna Vanessa has done for me.” I tried explaining myself as we walked towards the Dining Room.

“I understand. My mother told me about her struggles when she first came here. It was a difficult transition.” Thalia informed me. “You go from being in a place you have been all your life and then suddenly, bam, you’re in a whole different place where you just feel-“

“Out of place.” I added and she glanced at me.

“She made something of herself here. My mother gained a purpose she never had in her coven. I believe you can too.”

Thalia’s eyes softened when she glanced at me and I smiled at her.

“Maybe.”

“Perhaps this whole friendship idea isn’t a total waste bin” I told Juno and all I got in response was an aggravated growl from her.

We got to the Dining Room and I mentally prepared myself for any type of question that would get thrown at me.

“Ready?” Thalia asked me, noticing my nervousness.

“Ready as anyone can be, I suppose.”

She nodded and opened the doors for us.

Older Alpha Reyes was at the end of the table, waiting patiently for my arriving. Luna Vanessa was seated to his left and speaking softly to him.

They were the definition of a perfect power couple.

Elias was seated to the right of his father and seemed to be in deep thought as he picked at his food.

“Elias, what is the matter? You’ve hardly eaten anything all day.” I heard Vanessa speak to her son as Thalia and I walked closer to the table.

He was about to say something but once his eyes laid on me, his mouth closed and I could feel my face heat up at the way he scanned me.

“Oh Lilith! I’m so glad you’re here.” Vanessa exclaimed and gestured to the chair next to Elias. “Please have a seat and eat with us.”

I looked to Thalia, but she had already gone.

Traitor.

“Please for the Moon Goddess’s sake, don’t embarrass us.”

As I walked towards Elias, I couldn’t help but feel the need for his touch on my skin.

Right then and there, I knew the night wouldn’t end in the way I planned.
