I am supposed to have cleaned the alpha's chambers as usual, but I have been awake for the past two hours, and he's still sleeping. He usually wakes up about ten minutes after I wake up, but today is unusual. I hope he didn't die in his sleep.
"Come on, Cassie, you should stop thinking like that," My subconscious mind says to me, and I roll my eyes at nothing.
"Why do you think the alpha is still sleeping?" I ask Zoey as if she slept in his room.
"I don't know. Maybe he had a long day yesterday since he has been away," She suggests, and I shrug. I'm happy that I now live with Zoey, but I'm still scared of what Alpha Damien has in store for the two of us. I have no idea why he will ask Zoey to move in with me just like that.
