The world tilted the moment I opened my eyes, and I was back in the present, back in my bedroom, in my bed. Alongside him. My stomach twisted violently, and before I could even think, I was out of bed — bare feet slipping against the cold floor as I stumbled toward the bathroom. I barely made it to the toilet before I started to throw up. There was nothing graceful about it, no control — just the ugly sound of my body purging everything inside me. My throat burned.
