“Ruxs, I’m really sorry to interrupt,” Alexandra said quietly through the door. “But, everyone is concerned. Any word for us on your mate’s condition?”
Ruxs sighed, staring down at Bell’s closed lids. He didn’t want anyone else in there. He used their link instead of allowing her to come in. “Not yet.”
“Okay,” she whispered. “It’s almost midnight. Takashi is about to take the guard with him to the reserve’s headquarters to see how many rebels they were able to detain, and to brief Ren and the council. The mercenaries are on watch around the cottage until five and I will take over while they sleep.”
