Luna''s p.o.v
I arranged my books neatly inside my locker like I always do. I got to class as fast as I could, not necessarily waiting for the bell to ring.
I had my time table, so why wait?
Class started and Prof. Anderson explained briefly on the topic. He gave us a snap test. Most of the kids sneered, they weren't prepared.
But I was. Prof. Anderson said he is preparing us for SAT.
So i was prepared and I wrote excellently, some kids were trying to get me involved in malpractice, but I knew better than to do that. If we get cut, they'll but the blame on me.
I don't want bad records for my MIT admission. After the class I went to return my textbooks to my locker and pick up the ones i'll be needing.
While I arranged my books, a sense of anxiety washed over me, a pair of eyes were on me.
"Mate" my wolf dinged.
I immediately look back to the pair of eyes, it was Crescent.
"Mate?" I asked Amanda again to be sure. He gaze didn't leave mine, I guess he also found out I am his mate.
What the f**k?
I turned back at him and continued what I was doing, but I couldn't do it properly again, a million and one thought ran in my mind.
"Are you sure he is our mate?" I asked Amanda again.
"Yes, I am sure girlie, I could smell him, aside that, the feeling we get when he is close too us makes everything comply".
"He was at the party, why didn't we know then?"
"I guess now is the right time, hold hands first and then you'll see magic".
"I am not f*****g touching that fool, he might be my mate, but we aren't ending up together"
"Are you going to reject our mate?"
I didn't respond, all my life that is the one question I never knew and found the answers to.
All through the day, my mind was anything but settled. So many questions I needed answers to.
Is Crescent also a werewolf?
Is going to force me?
Does he know of other werefolks?
Why is he even my mate?
What if he hates me too?
Well, that will make things a lot easier, we will both just go our separate ways.
Should I talk to him about it?
I think I should speak to Lyall first. So I waited at the dining table downstairs.
Lyall has a weird habit of always going to the fridge first, he'll meet me here if he gets back.
But if I go to my room, he might not even see me.
Lyall came right at the time expected.
"What's up lil sis" he greeted.
"All good" I replied casually.
He dragged out a chair and sat.
"All doesn't look good to me" he said with a questioning look. He knows me too well.
"I found my mate" I said hitting the bull's eye.
"Well... That's fast, is he good?"
"It's Crescent"
He raised his eyebrows a little.
"It not so bad sis".
"I just..... Urghh" I couldn't find the right words to explain things.
"Take a chill pill Lil sis, Crescent is a good guy, I just can't believe he is like us".
"I can't believe it too, but Lil bro, it's not about Crescent being good or bad. I know I sound childish but I don't want a mate. I don't want too get to attached to someone, I want to do things on my own terms".
"I get it Lil sis, your a little scared, you've never had a boyfriend and out of everyone, it's the school's head boy and basketball team captain." He stopped a little and then continued. He knew me always be scared of the spotlight.
I don't want those crazy bitches after me thinking I stole their man.
"You should try going for it baby, I don't think George is gonna have a problem with it, you are an adult already, and I don't, you've always supported my escapades, I will support your real thing sis".
"Thanks Lil bro, Crescent would just have to give me a little more time, I'll figure this mate s**t out" I said after finding support in my twin's words.
"That's my sister, always taking on challenges" he cheered.
"How did practice go?" I asked
"Hectic as hell, those boys want my ass off" he replied with a little sacarsm.
"Oh? Then you should give it to them" I added my unserious thought.
"I'll see how you'll like a ass-less brother" he joked and I laughed cheerfully.
