Jessica's POV:
Ugh, I am so stupid. I get nervous way too easily, and especially around Ashton. I've been getting nervous around him more and more, actually, and that kind of makes me stop and think about all those books I've read. That means that the girl likes the guy a lot, right? I mean, I already know that I've liked him a lot, or else I wouldn't have agreed to date him, but the feelings that I had before feel like they just keep getting bigger and bigger. Either way, Ashton knows that I'm lying to him about the bruise, and I know him enough to know that he's not going to let it go, either. That leaves me with two options:
A) Telling him the truth and admitting the abuse I receive from my family.
B) Lying about it with basically any excuse I can make up without stuttering.
