It was quiet. Almost too quiet. We had awoken an hour ago and still nothing. We hadn’t heard any shouting of surprise. No one had come looking for us and I was fairly sure that it should’ve happened already. I looked over at the ones left behind and sighed. Tina, Colin, and Grecia were discussing their next move. The warlocks that were left, were performing magic, which I didn’t understand. The others were just whispering among themselves. My stomach made a loud grumbling sound, causing almost everyone to look over at me. I smirked as I nodded.
“Yes, I’m hungry,” I said clearly. That was how I knew something was wrong or the guards were late. Whatever the delay was, I hated it. Whatever was going to happen, I wanted it to happen already.
