Chapter 28 Azaiah held her mother's arm tightly as her eyes kept darting at the man in front of the wheels. Her eyes narrowed when their eyes met on the rear view mirror and he gave her a grin. His eyes twinkling as if he knew something she didn't. And that vexes her. Yes, she's six, her face devoid of emotion most of the time but her sensitivity to everything around her made her wise beyond her years. So despite her doubt and the stranger's weird looks and her mother's equality weird familiarity to him, she wasn't scared. She didn't sense any malicious thoughts from him. Just… that he's so deep that she cannot read him that properly. But all she cares about was that he wasn't a dangerous man. She's just confused of who he was.
