The cool salt water from the pool refreshed Lucy almost as much as the hard cherry limeades she and the women had been nursing all afternoon. The pool was one of her improvements as Luna. Since there had been no room nearer to the packhouse for a pool, Lucy had an Olympic-sized one put in by the gym so that everyone would enjoy the use of it. The moat was instead filled with marine life and an omega promoted to Game Warden to oversee its maintenance. This was so successful that once a month the packhouse held a fish fry to eat the inventory. These two aquatic features won over every pup’s heart in the pack, for they all loved either swimming or fishing between them. It was such a pleasure to see people love something she put out into the world.
