Lucy woke up with renewed purpose. She was determined to prove herself a capable Luna, starting with meeting more of the pack members. The weeks since her arrival were flying by, yet she hadn't made much progress in getting to know anyone.
Lucy noticed some peach trees in a garden not far from the packhouse. Despite the late season, it looked fruitful. She was dressed in simple black leggings and a blue oversized tee shirt. She pulled her hair into a high ponytail and worked it into a long braid down her back. Lucy grabbed her empty duffle bag and headed to the garden outside.
The air was so clean at this altitude. Lucy was excited to explore more of what these lands had to offer. She had always heeded the advice of Walden, "to seek comfort among nature."
