The kingdom looked similar to theirs. Their castle was more modern, but that was about all. Tasha had been to the castle once or twice for official events, but she had never been there as part of the family. It was wonderful to see the rest of the family.
They had a nice visit, but she was very concerned by the time she was on her way back home. She felt as though Alexander had downplayed the vampire problem. Or he just wasn’t as concerned about it as his cousin was.
But that was all a part of their lives. They lived in constant turmoil. It came with the territory of being a supernatural creature. Someone always wanted more power. Someone always wanted what someone else had. It infuriated her, but there wasn’t much she could do about it.
