Claudia noticed instantly that Damon was approaching. Her eyes shimmered with fake tears.
Here it comes, Lydia muttered. She's about to put on a performance
I knew that look too well.
Just as I expected, Claudia held me, wanting to pull me to the ground with her and act as though I had pushed and hit her. Scenarios like that had played out in the past over and over again. Everyone always believed Claudia.
This time, I wasn't going to give her the chance to accuse me wrongly. Before she could fully carry out her act, I grabbed her wrist hard.
