She groaned in pain, her body trembling violently, but her eyes meeting mine still held no surrender.
"She tried to steal the pendant you gave Claudia! When Claudia refused, Aria had that friend of hers attack her!" Lilith told her version of events, voice shaking with outrage.
Claudia tugged gently at my sleeve, her tone soft and understanding. "Damon, it's fine... really. Aria probably just had a moment. I don't hold it against her."
Her forgiveness only highlighted how irrational Aria had been.
My anger flared hotter.
I looked down at the woman still resisting in my grasp, my voice stripped of all warmth.
