DAYS LATER It's been three days since Blakeley has been living like a stranger in the house of Dante, she mostly stays in her room and comes out at night. She doesn't run into Dante or the men she met a few days ago. In these past three days, she has been having nightmares and they keep troubling her. She also kept feeling sick day by day because of her wound, it isn't healing and the pain is starting to get unbearable. “Blakeley.” She heard her name being called and she slowly sat on from the bed, she looked so pale and sick. The door to her room opened and Dante walked in with a bag. “Get dressed in that by 8:00 p.m. We have somewhere we need to be.” He ordered and threw it on the bed. He was about to leave and she hurriedly called his name. “What?” He asked and turned to her. “Dante, I don't feel so good. My hand still hurts.” She said with tears clouding her eyes and he glanced at the wounded hand. “It's just a claw wound, it will heal up. Just give it a couple of days.” He replied and walked out of the room. Blakeley sighed and sniffed as tears streamed down her eyes. She stood up and walked to her table, she picked up the drugs she had been using and sighed before taking them again. ******** It was almost 8:00 p.m. and Blakeley got dressed herself, she packed her hair into a bun leaving a few strands on her face. She adjusted the black long gown on herself and breathed out. She wasn't looking so pale like before, the drugs made her feel a bit better. She walked out of her room and walked down the stairs, she got downstairs and didn't meet Dante in the living room. “He is still upstairs ma’am.” A maid told her and she nodded. She sat on the couch and waited patiently for him. He came down the stairs minutes later and Blakeley stood up, he didn't spare her a glance as he walked out of the house. She sighed and trailed behind him, they both got to the car door and walked in. The car drove out and Blakeley glanced at him. He looks cute in his tuxedo. She decided to not say anything since he wasn't talking to her. Sometimes she wonders if she even means anything to him. “When we get there, don't say anything to anyone. We are not married, we are just there as friends.” He said and she nodded in response. She wasn't expecting anything good from him, it's not his fault by the way. Her father put her in the mess and she has no choice. After a while, the car stopped at a parking lot and they both walked out, Dante held her injured arm and she winced in pain. “What?” He asked and she shook her head in response. She held the pain in as they walked towards a building. They got to the entrance and the guards let them in. Blakeley looked around the building as they walked deep into it. They got to a door where other guards were and they let them in. It was a ballroom but it seemed secretive, slow music was being played in the background, and people moved around and chatted while some sat at their table. Dante pulled her to a table and she paused when she saw Ethan and the guy that startled her. She still doesn't know his name. “Blakeley.” Ethan called with a smile as she sat next to him, Dante sat next to her which made the guy opposite her. This time, he wasn't staring at her, all he did was go through his phone. “Hey, Ethan.” She greeted him back with a smile. “How are you doing?” He asked. “I’m fine. What about you?” She asked back and he nodded in response. “Hey, Dante.” Ethan called and Dante rolled his eyes. “Finally, you noticed me.” He teased and they both chuckled. The event started and different people walked on stage and said different things she was less concerned about. Her hand was starting to hurt again and she felt unease, she felt dizzy and weak. Her heart started to race as she tried to catch her breath. She noticed someone was staring at her and she looked up to see the guy, he wasn't pressing his phone anymore, all he did was stare at her. She couldn't hold the pain any longer and she tapped a waitress that walked past her. “Hey.” She called. “Yes ma’am, what can I get you?” “Where is the restroom?” “Oh, just walk out the entrance and go down the hallway, you will find it there.” “Thank you.” She replied and turned to Dante. “Excuse me.” She said and without waiting for his response, she walked out of the room. She groaned silently as she walked down the hallway, she got to the entrance to the restroom and walked in. As she was about to walk into the female’s bathroom, she fell to the floor and groaned in pain. She slowly sat up and placed her back on the wall, she closed her eyes and took in deep breaths. Tears streamed down her eyes and she shivered. She suddenly opened her eyes and she flinched as she saw the quiet guy staring at her, he bent in front of her and watched her. “Is… is Dante looking for me already?” She asked and was about to stand up but he placed his hand on her shoulder holding her down. He slowly grabbed her injured arm and she winced. “It's okay. I’m fine.” She muttered and tried to withdraw her hand but he held it firmly. He placed his hand on the tip of the bandage and slowly loosened it. Blakeley groaned as she fought her tears. “Please, be careful.” She mumbled as she let out her tears. He finally took off the bandage and stared at the hand. The wound looked so bad, it wasn't healing and it looked like it was decaying. “Oh my God, it hurts so bad.” She whimpered and sniffed. He held her hand and Blakeley started to feel better, she noticed he was taking her pain. “Thank you.” She muttered and he didn't give her a response, the wound gradually disappeared and Blakeley sighed in relief. He let go of her hand and stood on his feet, she also stood up and wiped her tears. “Thank you.” She said again and he nodded in response. He was about to walk out and she stopped him. “Excuse me.” She called and he turned to her. “What's your name?” “Alex.” He responded and walked out of the restroom. She exhaled and picked up the bandage, she disposed of it. Blakeley walked back into the room feeling and looking better, she sat down and glanced at Alex before turning to Dante. “Where have you been?” He asked. “In the restroom.” She replied. “Are you okay?” Ethan asked and she smiled at him, he looked at her hand and noticed the bandage was gone and he glanced at Alex. Alex looked away and Ethan smiled. Blakeley looked at the table and noticed they each had a bidding board. She looked at the stage and noticed it was now an auction block, an auction was going on and they were selling ladies. ‘What the f**k?’ She thought. No doubt the place looks secretive. “Hey, Dante.” Ethan suddenly called and they all turned to him. “You said Blakeley was useless to you right?” He asked and Blakeley frowned lightly. “Yeah, so?” “Why not put her up for the auction? The bid on her will surely be high because she is beautiful and you will make a lot of money off her. She won't be so useless anymore.” Ethan explained and Blakeley’s eyes widened in shock. “What?” She asked. “Think about it. It's a great offer.” Ethan urged. “No, please don't. I don't want to end up with one of these men.” She said in fear but Ethan ignored her. “Fine, deal.” He responded and she froze. Her eyes widened in shock as Dante waved to a guard. She turned to Ethan and looked at him, her expression said a lot of things to him as tears welled up in her eyes. ‘I thought he cared a little bit.’ She thought and he kept smiling at her. She suddenly felt a hard pull on her and it was a guard, he pulled her away from them. “I hope the offer is good.” Dante said excitedly. “Trust me, it will be worth it.” Ethan chuckled and folded his arms. In a minute, Blakeley was on stage and the crowd mumbled, some glanced at Dante and he ignored them. “Well, we have a surprise offer for you all.” The auctioneer announced. “Gentlemen, we have a beautiful lady here, amongst all you have seen tonight, she is the best of them all. She is an angel. Her skin is so… “ “Ten million.” A man said, raising his board and Blakeley’s heart raced. “Twenty million.” An old man said and she held the sides of her gown nervously. Why are they bidding so much on her? She is not even a wolf, they will get mad when they find out she is useless. “Fifty million.” Another man said. “Hundred million.” A voice said and everywhere became silent. ‘Hundred million? Who the f**k buys a human for a hundred million dollars?!
