As they entered the holding area Helen held up a hand and made everyone stop. Brock stopped along with everyone else and wasn't surprised when she jerked around and looked at him.
“You won't interfere. This time?”
Tough question, but it deserved an answer. “To an interrogation, no. To torture? Yes.”
“We need answers,” she said.
Brock said, “I agree. And we need to find a way to stop this conflict. That's not going to work if we mistreat the prisoners right now.”
She stared at him. The corner of her lip drooped. Ben stepped between them.
