Each was a completely contained environment, capable of being set to mimic any conditions that they discovered on the ground, in order to recreate an environment that any sample organisms might prefer.
This section held eight cells down each side of a wide corridor, but there were more in adjoining sections. Two whole decks of the ship were given over to these sample-containment cells, and more decks were devoted to labs and research facilities. At each end of the corridor Constantine had posted guards to watch over their prisoners.
