Manny, Jonas and Helen rode back to the Palace with the undertaker on the beautiful black hearse which was pulled by two steeds, both black in color, and both clean and shined for this day. Jonas went behind the bar and took out a bottle of the best whiskey they had. He meant to get his brother good and drunk so Manny would sleep for the night at least. It was a task he didn't think would be too difficult to accomplish given the emotional state Manny was in when they returned to the hotel.
