Chapter 7 - Brunch

Lilly and Samantha sat in a cozy restaurant, the aroma of freshly made food and the clinking of dishes & glasses creating a comforting ambiance. As they enjoyed their brunch, Lilly's mind wandered to her newfound connection with Alex and the changes she had been experiencing that morning.

Samantha, perceptive as ever, noticed the contemplative expression on Lilly's face. She leaned in, concern etched on her features. "Lilly, you seem deep in thought. Is everything okay? How have things been since you and Alex became mates?"

Lilly took a sip of her mimosa, gathering her thoughts before responding. "It's been wonderful, Samantha. Alex is everything I could have ever wished for in a man. But lately, I've been feeling different. I've been hearing a voice in my head more frequently all morning and I think it might be my wolf speaking to me. I let Alex mark me this morning & I marked him"

Samantha's eyes widened with intrigue. "Your wolf? That's fascinating, Lilly. You know tonight's a full moon? It's possible that your connection with Alex and the bond you've formed have awakened a deeper connection to your wolf side. You might even turn tonight. Understanding your wolf nature might shed light on these changes you're experiencing."

Lilly nodded, a mix of curiosity and apprehension coursing through her. "You're right, Samantha. Learning about the history of werewolves and how their bonds with mates and packs shape their experiences could help me understand myself better. Im so scared to shift into a wolf. What if it hurts? "

Samantha reached across the table, her hand gently resting on Lilly's. "Lilly, you're on an extraordinary journey. Embrace the power within you, and don't be afraid to explore the depths of your own potential. I'll be here every step of the way, supporting you. Also, if you don't think about it much, it doesn't hurt."

Lilly smiled, grateful for Samantha's unwavering friendship and support. "Thank you, Samantha. Your encouragement eases my nerves a bit. "

With renewed determination, Lilly and Samantha continued their brunch, their conversation drifting from the intricacies of wolf history to the limitless possibilities that lay ahead. After Lilly and Samantha were done with brunch, they embarked on some fun and relaxation, starting with a shopping spree to indulge their fashion senses. They strolled through trendy boutiques, trying on various outfits and sharing laughter-filled moments in front of the fitting room mirrors."Lilly, this dress looks amazing on you! You have to get it," Samantha exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Lilly twirled in front of the mirror, admiring the dress that hugged her curves elegantly. It was a champagne dress with sparkle embedded into the dress and it was hugging Lilly in all the right places. "You think so? It does feel comfortable, and the color is stunning." They visited a boutique known for its exquisite undergarments, their eyes twinkling with anticipation as they stepped inside. Rows of lacy bras, satin chemises, and intricately designed panties adorned the displays, creating an alluring atmosphere. The air was infused with a sense of femininity and sensuality, inspiring the two friends to explore the world of lingerie with curiosity and excitement.

Lilly picked up a delicate lace bralette, admiring the intricate details. "This is stunning. I've always wanted to try something like this, something that makes me feel both comfortable and alluring."

Samantha nodded, her eyes scanning the racks of lingerie. "I know exactly what you mean, Lilly. You should get it for Alex" Samantha said as she wiggled her eyebrows. "You know what I think I will", Lilly said confidently. After a few more rounds of trying on clothes and giving each other fashion advice, they left the boutiques with shopping bags in hand, feeling a sense of satisfaction and a renewed confidence in their newfound attire. Samantha and Lilly were exhausted and they made their way back to Samantha's penthouse in Union Square and chilled out and watched a romantic comedy together until Alex told Lilly he was free.
