Margaret "I held up my end of the deal, now it's your turn!" Barrett yelled, clenching his fists. How juvenile. "You let her get away? She was supposed to pay for what she did to me!" I looked at him, irritated. He was such a self-entitled brat, I was mildly surprised he was able to function in society. Then again, humans were all self-important creatures, bumbling through life thinking they deserved all of life's pleasures, so his terrible personality likely fit right in. "I don't care about any deal we may have had," I said evenly. Really, Barrett was the least of my worries. I thought I was successful. I thought I'd taken William out.
