Love does not exist Offices open as usual today, Sunday, after being closed two days.It has been raining heavily since morning.Shohag went out with an umbrella.His office is adjacent to Presidential Palace.The palace is surrounded by high walls.There is a reservoir north to the palace.When a guest of equal status of President arrives,he is given a guard of honour by the contingent of Presidential guard regiment.Shohag enjoys it.

Disappointing weather today.Shohag has been failing to pay attention to his work.Sonia is on his mind.He has decided to talk to her in the evening.A lot of time have to pass .A gloomy morning,noon and afternoon.In the evening, Shohag called Sonia's six digit number.A kid picked up the phone.Shohag asked whether Sonia was at home or not?

When Sonia was other side of the phone Shohag said today weather was dismaying.Weather can have an effect on people's mind.Sonia replied you are right I was also in bad mood today.But now I am feeling better.Shohag didn't say anything in response.This is not the right time to delve deeper into Sonia 's mind.Instead he asked Sonia what she was doing.Sonia said I am doing what a student does.Okay keep studying,I will give a phone call another day.

As the conversation continued, they began to feel each other's feeling without realising it.

As time went on they drew closer and they addressed each other by using second person,"you"which was a reflection of their closeness.Moreover it has become a habit of giving a phone call to Sonia every day.If he didn't give a call any day,he wondered if he had missed out on something.Fortunately there was a land telephone at Shahed's wholesale shop,who was a friend of Shohag.Day's go by but feeling remains.This is an unknown feeling.In the meantime Shohag received a transfer order.He was posted out to a factory, not far away but within the city.But his phone call to Sonia remained uninterrupted.At certain stage both of them realised that they love each other.Eventhough Sonia's attitude was revealed in her words, Shohag realised that she was about to tell him something which was extremely personal.On a certain day they decided to see each other at a nearby park . Love is a new domain.It's boundaries stretch upto horizon, sky is the limit.The lyrics of the song seem to be written for them.Every line of the poem seems to be saying about them .The sky, the wind, the moon, the sun, the stars everything looks good.In the park they sat under a palm tree.He has rehershed earlier what he will say to Sonia.Both of them remained calm for some time.He broke the silence by saying,"I want to marry you".She gave a perplexed look to him.She took time to be normal.Sonia said,"I thought you want to make friendship with me.As you live alone it might make you mentally weak and you begin to love me.I will not say that I don't love you.But I have something to say and afterwards you may change your decision to marry me.I was married earlier and my marriage lasted for one month.My ex-husband divorced me.He had affair with another woman.He married me because he didn't want to hurt his parents.But later he convinced his parents and divorced me".

Shohag did not say anything.He put his hand in Sonia's hand and wanted to tell Sonia, don't worry I am with you.He wanted to explain to Sonia if a person's next life is happy,he forgets the pains and sorrows of the past.That's why a widow or a divorcee dreams of a new life.I will try to give you a new life.Shohag thought he was walking through a thorny path.This effort was completely psychological and he tried to sweep the discomfort from Sonia's mind.

Eventually he succeeded . Gradually Sonia forgot what happened in her past life.She was aspiring for a new life.She was quite matured and capable of making her own decision.Shohag planted a seed of hope in Sonia's mind because he is in love with Sonia and he was ready to spend much time for Sonia's betterment.He has no other world except Sonia.Shohag does not know what is the chemistry of love but he is sure love can change a person's attitude,vision, outlook towards life.It is a relationship between a man and woman.What you really need is patience, respect for each other and sacrifice.Love turns a person as completely new person.He takes everything easily,he learns to forgive others minor mistakes.He becomes compassionate and empathetic.But the negative aspects of love is a person who is in love may become self- centered, unmindful and in certain respect jealous.Isolation plays a part in making a person who is in love jealous.Shohag had this jealousy when he was staying in Chittagong and Sonia in Dhaka.He had imaginary person's appearance in his mind.Shohag thought of atleast two persons who had been trying to make relationship with Sonia.This is the result of difficulty of loving and in this occasion you are helpless.Shohag had to overcome this problem.Whenever jealousy was dominant he made a quick contact with Sonia.In some situations he visited Sonia in Dhaka and spent quality time with her.What he learned was that he had to control his mind and train mind to overlook the jealousy whenever it comes to mind.Another aspects or negativity of love is mind distraction.Wherever you go you will see pretty girls or women.They act as mind distractor.Here his realisation is you will have to be honest with your love.Always you will have to bear in mind that you love someone who is waiting for you.Instead of being polygamy you will have to be one girl woman.This attitude helps to foster a sound and undisturbed relationship which leads to satisfaction and peace.It is not unusual that a pretty woman attracts lot of male wherever she goes.On theag contrary a handsome man equally draws attention of females irrespective of ages.The fact is that how many relationships you can maintain being a single woman. Shohag was loyal to Sonia ,he didn't want to heart Sonia.
