Arrogance is dominating the thoughts

The clock chimed at 3 o'clock in the morning.

Samantha turned to James, who appeared troubled by the sounds coming from the door, as she heard them. She doesn't realize what's happening, so she opens the doors, only to be greeted by a gaggle of news reporters eager to break the story that Teresa's son is in love with an ordinary teenage girl.

"Excuse me, but would you please step outside and yell, as it's disturbing the people inside the house?" Samantha yelled in annoyance.

When Teressa opened the car door, everyone stopped talking and stared at her. Then, to everyone's surprise, she walked up to Samantha and introduced her as her daughter-in-law.

"What?" Samantha asked in disbelief, feeling the ground shake beneath her.

Teressa opened the car door with a grin, then asked Tommy to start the car before responding to Samantha.

"Stop!" Samantha called out and ran inside.

The cameras in the media turned to the door, perplexed as to why Samantha had gone inside.

Samantha emerged from the house after some time and approached Teressa. Even though Robert gives her a blank check, she refuses to marry her son because she is in love with another man.

Samantha was taken aback when Teressa smiled at her and said, "You can love anyone, but you must become my daughter-in-law."

"No matter who you are, Madam, I regret to inform you that I cannot accept your proposal. Bye," Samantha said, and began to leave, but was stopped by a pinch from Teressa's hand.

"There is no way to counter my decision. It's final, and you have to accept it even if you don't like it. Was that clear?" Teressa barked orders with her growl.

Samantha responded with a grin, "A mother should know another girl's heart, and she cannot buy everything with the money she has."

Teressa was so offended that she closed her eyes, helpless to see her command carried out. Finally, after a few moments of silence, Teressa opened her eyes and told her that she would not force her into marriage if she agreed to tell the truth about her son's guesthouse.

Samantha could not respond to Teressa's request for a public speech on virtue. She did not dare to tell the media what had happened because Robert had helped her in a time of crisis, and she did not wish to speak ill of his character.

Samantha's eyes welled with tears as she stepped forward like a lifeless statue because she had no words to answer.

"Mom!" Robert yelled as he climbed out of the car.

With a burst of speed, he made his way to her and beckoned for her to join him. Teressa's rejection of his pleading showed him that she was unyielding about Samantha's problems.

As he took an impressionable young girl outside, he caught a glimpse of Samantha, whose closed eyes revealed tears that warmed his soul. Then he turned to his mother to tell her the truth, but the sight of her rage left him speechless.

"Robert, Wrap this ring around her finger and drop by the house. Do this task and prove to me that you are indeed my son. If you don't want to face the consequences, you should disappear. If some random girl doesn't do as I say, I'll be devastated and might even think my son has died." Teressa remarked as she presented Robert with the rings.

Knowing that Samantha loved another guy and being asked by his mother to wear the ring on Samantha's finger left Robert bewildered. Having never disobeyed his mother before, he stared at the ring with an unknown fear, but he had no idea how to tell her the truth. Then, at long last, he mustered up the nerve to confess that he'd asked Samantha to bring him a nightstand.

"Mom, I'm going to fill you in on what went down. First, however, since I am aware of your rage, I must have your word that you will refrain from physically harming Samantha in the future." Robert said, looking at Samantha.
