A shock to Samantha

949 Words
It was 5:00 p.m. Samantha felt queasy in her stomach as she went to the hospital to discuss James' health with a doctor. She tripped because she was confused and didn't know what had happened. Awakening to her surroundings after a short while, she began to investigate. She was taken aback when she caught sight of herself in the hospital bed mirror, holding an IVR bottle. It's not healthy for a pregnant woman to be tense, so the doctor who came there told her to take it easy. "What?" Samantha was taken aback by the question but quickly laughed off the news that she was not a married woman. As Samantha is also a doctor, she quickly and accurately identified the child in the embryo after the doctor showed her the results of the scans of her stomach. Samantha tossed the reports aside and exclaimed loudly that they were false reports. However, she understands the rumbling in her stomach. After the doctor asked her about the date of her missed period, she was able to relax. She realized the cause and began sobbing loudly, unable to fathom the circumstances of the event's occurrence. 9 p.m. was the time the clock chimed. "Madam, A private piece of data exclusively for you. Sam is currently in the first month of her pregnancy. The media is waiting for this information to end your political career. If it gets out, you can kiss your chances of becoming president goodbye. Because of our familiarity, I'm breaking the news to you: we need money to keep the Hospital open. Madam, if you can make the necessary changes, I will be much obliged." the doctor said to Teressa over the phone. Hearing that her political career was over, Teressa dropped the phone in shock. Her eyes welled with tears as she realized how much work and dedication it had taken to get where she was today. After Doctor questioned her several times, she realized she needed to explain what had transpired. She answered the phone, promised to pay the requested amount, and then cut off communication. She remained on the chair in disbelief, not knowing what to do in light of the news that Samantha was pregnant. Everyone knows that Robert met her twice. Once she decided, she sped off in the car toward Samantha's house. In a state of panic, Samantha made it home, still unsure of what had transpired. She didn't understand why people engaged in s****l activity if they weren't interested in it. She raced to the bathroom, turned on the shower, and burst into tears. She was torn between her desire to protect the unborn child and her confusion over what had caused her pregnancy and the father's identity. She waited a few minutes and then opened the door when she heard the car. To her utter dismay, she spots Teressa alighting from the vehicle. Samantha isn't eager to meet her, but she also doesn't want to quarrel with her. To her dismay, she moved towards her. "Samantha, Regardless of the reasons, whatever happened did. Now that my heir is growing inside of you, I want you to marry my son. If you disagree now, the public will not regard you with respect after the news of your pregnancy becomes public, and it will be a blow to my career and you. So consider the child's long-term prospects and make a call." This is what Teressa stated firmly. Samantha began to argue that Robert did not father the kid because he never touched her. However, she was cut off by Teressa, who stated that she was no longer interested in hearing her words because the damage had already been done. Nevertheless, she was not prepared to give up her political power. Madame, I beg you to hear me out. Samantha's voice rose to a roar of frustration. Teressa removed the weapon from her purse and secured it above her head. She said her reputation meant more to her than her own life; it was the only thing she cared about. "If it helps my political standing, I won't hesitate to do it. I'm willing to give up my life for it. I don't want anyone to defy my instruction because if you don't, I will kill myself right now. Did you get it?" Teressa inquired, then started to tally the items. Samantha was at a loss for words to explain that Robert had not touched her, but she had opted to take it slow in light of the woman's hostility and rage. The moment she turned to approach, she spotted her mother, Andrea, coming from the opposite direction. "When did she decide to show up? How will she handle the situation?" Samantha frowned at Andrea as she had a thought. "Samantha, She deserves better than for anything to happen to her reputation. Everyone noticed on the news that you slept at the guest house owned by her son. Putting her son down like that is very cold of you. You would not have needed to visit the inn if you were not curious. You presumably went to his guesthouse for fun, however. Why are you not expressing any desire to marry him?" Andrea asked, turning to Teressa, who still had the gun to her head. "You can call me Madam because I am her mother. To that end, I solemnly swear that my daughter will one day be your daughter-in-law. So you need not fret." Andrea said while giggling at her daughter. Samantha was confused by Andrea's comments and tried to explain that she was not interested in marrying Robert. However, Teressa insisted that the wedding place within two days or otherwise.
