At seven o'clock AM, the clock chimed.
Samantha opened her eyes and was taken aback by the cash on the bedside table. She reached for the cash and felt it in her hands with astonishment. She tried to sleep with a stranger for the enormous sum James had received, but she had no idea who had given it to him.
Because she was sure James didn't have any generous relatives, Samantha hurried inside his room to inquire about the source of the money.
There is no safe place for Samantha to continue her education in the United States, so James made a point to give her a plane ticket and insisted that she leave immediately.
Samantha sat next to James and begged him not to send her abroad, saying that she couldn't leave him in that condition and instead wanted to attend the local college. However, James did not respond well to her plea.
He smiled and said he'd take care of himself, but Samantha shouldn't give up school after earning her MBBS degree, so she shouldn't give him any thought.
With tears in her eyes, Samantha implored her father, "Dad, how can I leave you and stay away from you? Who will take care of you if I am not there?"
James told her to go ahead and pack her bags, as this was the day he'd been waiting so long to see her in such a prestigious position and that a friend would be coming to take care of him. He begged Samantha not to ruin his joy because if he didn't achieve it, he would as well be dead.
When Samantha looked at James and saw no sign of displeasure on his face, she was taken aback and asked him to please not talk like that by keeping her fingers over his mouth.
She stood up and walked out of the room after giving James a teary goodbye. She finished getting ready, removed the chain around her neck, and left it in James' care.
Samantha said with a kiss on James' forehead, "It's not a chain but a memory of Samantha. Please look at this chain whenever you want to see me, as I cannot come for two years. My life is entering a new phase because of you only. Though I'm going abroad, my soul will be there with you only. Bye, Sir."
Samantha didn't want to leave James and go, but to make him happy, she walked away from the house to start a new job in her life, and James had to fight back the tears and smile at her lifeless walk.
To achieve a degree in Pilot Surgery, Samantha traveled overseas, carrying with her fond memories of her time spent with James and the hope of finally seeing her Dad, Oliver.
At seven o'clock at night, the clock chimed.
Teressa watched the evening news while sipping vodka. Due to poor judgment, she did without having all the facts, she has lost her social standing, popularity, and influence. When Robert noticed her scowling at the news, he walked inside to apologize for his untruthful denial that he had touched Samantha.
Teressa sipped her wine and asked Robert, "I know every woman will face troubles while giving birth. But I did not expect to face the same pain after my son had grown up and killed his Mom's reputation in society. Everyone is now speaking about your Mom and is laughing about mishandling her son's issue. You gave a great prize to me by inviting that girl who is nothing before me to your guest house."
Robert was at a loss for words, and the affection he had felt for Samantha began to darken into hostility and resentment. He asked his mother to eat, but Teressa refused and told him to leave the room or she'd become upset.
Irritated, Robert stormed out of the room, unsure what to do to restore Teressa's reputation after he had ruined it. He decides to settle down with a new wife and start a new family.
Oliver questioned Robert, "Robert, how is Mom? Is she fine?" as he attempted to enter the house, but Robert stopped and asked for a moment to speak with him.
Upon Robert's request, Oliver agreed and ushered his daughter Alice into Teressa's chamber.
Robert responded firmly, "Uncle, I intended to marry your daughter. If you allow me, I will invite Alice into my life."
Not because of what he says, but because Oliver is determined to find his missing first daughter before proceeding with the wedding plans for his second daughter.
Robert questioned Oliver about his line of reasoning, perplexed by Oliver's apparent preoccupation.
The conversation was interrupted when Alice said she was interested in marrying Robert and Oliver said he needed time to "consider before he makes an answer."
With an understanding of Alice's prideful demeanor and intransigence, Oliver felt he had no choice but to leave the room, his true thoughts deep in his chest.
