Tommy's misunderstanding leads to new problems

Robert stared at Samantha, who had appeared outside looking angelic, after a few minutes of stillness. Looking into her eyes, he felt a pang of longing for the loss of such a beautiful presence in his life.

With a heavy heart, Tommy turned to look at Robert, who was staring at Samantha and started to leave the room.

"Tommy, please get her to safety and make sure no one sees you leaving. Samantha could have trouble if anyone saw it ", Robert added as he stared at Samantha intently.

After thanking Robert with her gaze, Samantha dried her eyes and started to leave. As she walked away, she gave Robert a thank you look that he mistook for an angry gesture.

Though the thought of Samantha maybe loving him brought a smile to Robert's face, he was hesitant to confirm it without first learning Samantha's true feelings about him.

On his way out, Tommy noticed Samantha's name and the heart symbol on a yard cake. He was angry at the thought that Robert and Samantha were truly in love, so he stormed up to the car.

Samantha sat nervously in the car, aware that Tommy had formed an inaccurate impression of her after witnessing her in a semi-naked state with Robert. She never worked up the nerve to talk to Tommy about the issue but was pleased to put it behind her finally. She plans to give James the gift of her virginity to celebrate her success in maintaining her purity.

Although she was lost in thought, Tommy pulled over and indicated the direction of the house she needed to see.

Samantha got out of the car and thanked Tommy for leaving her out at her destination so late. The automobile, however, quickly left the area.

Samantha surveyed the office she cleaned to maintain private practice but gave up after Tommy caught her in bed with another guy and canceled their loan application.

She dried her eyes and stepped inside, where she was taken aback to see James muttering her name. She sprinted over to hug him and kiss him.

When James saw Samantha, she opened her eyes wide and smiled, prompting Samantha to yell with delight. Nonetheless, she was unprepared for James to open his eyes and embrace her with wet eyes.

The time had reached eleven o'clock.

Robert finally made it home and entered his mother's bedroom, tense about the explanation he would have to offer if she had to wait until late in the evening to question him about his whereabouts.

"Mom, didn't you sleep?" Robert asked his question slowly.

Teressa, a middle-aged woman, set the book aside and prompted him to comment on the girl's picture she displayed on the table.

Robert knew his mother wanted him to marry a girl, and he told her he wasn't interested in seeing a picture of her potential bride.

"This is a command, not a request or a plea for backing from me. Your decision to marry that girl is final," Teressa snarled.

Irritated, Robert stormed out of the room, and Tommy's jaw dropped when he saw the picture of Samantha lying on the floor.

He claimed that Robert had developed feelings for the same girl and that she, unaware of the events at the inn, had also developed strong feelings for him.

After some consideration, Tommy was taken aback when Teressa invited him to join her to the girl's residence.

"If I were you, mom, I'd bring Robert along. I must sleep tonight because I have to be at a big conference first thing in the morning." When Tommy's mother requested him to take her to the address, he started to leave the room but turned around.

Tommy felt he had no choice but to go along with his mother's decision because she had no capacity for empathy. Infuriated, he steered the car toward Samantha's house and pulled up a few minutes later.

Why did you just stop here? Teressa glared irritably at the house and questioned.

When asked where the girl would stay, Tommy said it was a rented residence. But she had just finished her doctoral program and had no real estate.

Teressa was taken aback and confused by his words; she strongly disliked those who needed resources.

"Get her out here. Only the car and I will be present." Teressa grew irritated and demanded that he turn on the air conditioning.

It wouldn't be polite to call a female outside at midnight, so Tommy invited Teressa to come along, but she didn't respond.

Fearing he might have to talk to Samantha again, he climbed out of the car and tentatively knocked on the doors. Samantha opened the door and glanced at Tommy just as Tommy was ready to hit the door again. The sight of her naivety captivated the latter.

Despite Samantha's invitation to come inside, Tommy declined because his mother was waiting for her in the car.

Samantha gave him a perplexed look before asking if she might go inside. The only problem is that Tommy claimed she wouldn't visit anyone's home because she is a politician, and it's not something she does.

"I'd rather avoid her altogether. It's okay if you leave." Tommy was taken aback by what Samantha said and then did—she shut the doors in his face.

He approached the car and told his mother that Samantha was not interested in meeting her and that inviting a girl to come outside at midnight was inappropriate.

Because Teressa found that Tommy was even more haughty and inflexible than she was, she felt annoyed and asked Tommy to wait for her.
