The alarm chimed at 8:00 a.m.
"I overheard the insult you received at uncle's house, mom. That you would have to endure a slight because of me is shocking. Let me apologize." Robert spoke up and reached out to pat Teressa on foot.
Teressa stepped backward, indicating that she would accept insult for having given birth to a son who had a negative impact on her life both politically and otherwise.
"Mom, Why do you think like that? To put it simply, I adore you. Really, you have no idea." Robert pleaded with Teressa, "Please don't leave me hanging like this," but Teressa walked away from him and said, "I'll believe you when you marry Alice."
