A WEEK AFTER we’d given the boys their injections, the topic of gene therapy was the first item on the agenda at the council meeting, and Father summed up the necessity for gene therapy for all family members.
“The bottom line here is this,” Father said. “This family will always be vulnerable to the ignorant and uninformed, not to mention the greedy, and I see telepathy as another way to protect ourselves.”
