Ava was hurriedly packing up her things as she planned to meet Emily for dinner to discuss her new findings. As she was about to leave, her phone buzzed with a message from Max. "Want to go to the movies with me tonight?" he asked.
Ava glanced at the message and hesitated before responding. "Can't make it tonight, Max. I have other important things to do."
"Like what?" Max asked, his curiosity piqued.
Ava sighed. "Just work stuff, Max. Don't worry about it."
She quickly hailed a cab and headed to the restaurant where she and Emily were supposed to meet. When she arrived, she spotted Emily already seated and waiting for her.
"Hey, sorry I'm late," Ava said, taking a seat across from Emily.
"No worries, I just got here," Emily replied, smiling. "So, what's this about Victor Conti?
