Volume 2: Part4: Truth

The world was ruled by the ice Queen, she is the Queen of the eight lands, I asked again, eight? Mr Olasile then told me to be quiet and listen, we have hierarchies of power, the most powerful is the ice Queen, followed by the lord commander and then, the six masters of death. I was still very confused but I at least understood a lot now. Mr Olasile continued, apparently, Adekanbi deluded himself by saying he was perfect, he went on a murdering spree and strengthened his eyes and powers till he reached the fifth stage, then, he was ready to take his revenge. He had a motto that went thus, “Nobody is perfect, I’m nobody, so, I’m perfect”, he was that lost in taking revenge he saw basically nothing except revenge because of the immense hatred he possessed, what Adekanbi failed to understand was that hatred and revenge only brought on more revenge and hatred, and what he aimed to achieve was giving the world a taste of his pain. It is known that there is no smoke without a fire, there is no light without the possibility of shadows and there is no hatred without lost love and Adekanbi would eventually understand that the pain and hatred he considered his strength were his weakness, he failed to see that although he could not fully change the past without consequences, he could construct a beautiful future without consequences. Adekanbi went for his revenge but he was going to get nothing related to it, Azarailus had betrayed him, he had told Adebisi how to take his powers from him, Adebisi completed the ritual days before Adekanbi came for his revenge and she had to just look him the eyes, on the day Adekanbi and Adebisi crossed paths again for the last time, Adekanbi understood what his late father has always told him that people can change or they die before they get a chance and reason to, he thought he had caught Adebisi when she carelessly looked into his eyes but he was very wrong, she had caught him, he felt all his powers being drained from him, he was clueless on what was happening but it all made sense when he saw Adebisi’s eyes, he realized he had just given her his power, and Adebisi killed him almost immediately after the power transfer was complete, she mixed his earth and fire abilities together and gave him a lava bath, he died almost instantly, Adekanbi wondered why he was so blinded by power he chose to bear all the burden alone, he thought he was strong because he knew his weaknesses, he thought he was powerful because he knew sadness and pain but it turns out he knew nothing. He had changed just before his death but it was pointless anyway, he was going to die, he was happy he at least changed before his death was confirmed. Adebisi was now with power she couldn’t fathom, she married the king of the neighboring city of Osun and had six children who inherited her powers, with the last one being the only one with all her powers she thought she had increased her strength by giving her children her powers but she’ll soon discover how wrong she was. Unknown to everyone, Azarailus was trying to come back to life and although it appeared he had only transferred the power in his eyes, the truth is that he had given his eyes that sees so much evil there’s barely any good left to see, he had given his heart that lusts for power and rejects love and he had put his thoughts that only cares about bloodshed and death. He told Adekanbi and Adebisi only of five stages but there were five more stages afterwards, the stages where Azarailus gradually takes control of the body, by the seventh stage, there is barely a thread of the thoughts and conscience of the mind that originally belonged to the body he possessed, he takes the body fully at the eight stage. The story we were told was true from the point when Adebisi took Adekanbi’s power, Adebisi sought out the power that comes with owning the world and she murdered countless in hopes of doing that, she was fought and eventually defeated by her children. I asked Mr Olasile about the child of prophecy but he claimed to have no knowledge whatsoever of it, I was not sure to believe him and made up my mind to ask the girl that I heard it from. I would eventually understand a long time from that moment that Mr Olasile was not who he claimed to be and that he story he told us was not the entire TRUTH…………….
