I should be pissed that he would suggest that Cora was not my mom. But deep down, I think I always knew the answer. Cora is not my mom.

“No, it’s ok. It would make sense. She never talked about being pregnant with me. I do remember her being pregnant with Meghan, though, and how she was with her. The difference was subtle. She would get angry easily with me for the littlest of things. But when my dad was around, she would dote on me. So it makes sense. If Cora is not my mom, then I need to know who is and why my dad took me.” I say to him as I push the food around my plate.
