Peter The police radio in my car crackled to life and my stomach dropped as it reported shots fired in Hanover Park. It had to have happened within the last minute or so; our shot spotter system sent an automatic alarm within seconds of its sensors picking up gunfire within its bounds.  I had learned to trust my instincts over the years and I’d had a bad feeling when Kay told me about her photo shoot, so I stayed fairly closeby. I could be there in five to ten minutes and started driving in that direction immediately.
