Chapter 15

Carter

Carter’s P.o.V.

I bounce around my getting ready to see my princess for the day. I barely slept last night. I couldn’t fall asleep until two or three this morning and I was up at around five or six this morning. So, at most four hours of sleep. But I am still wide awake and ready for my princess for the day!

Finally, at eight there is a knock on my door. I bounce to my door with my own energy and Atlas’ energy. I open to reveal my princess. I smile brightly at her. “Good morning, Princess. Do you mind coming in? I have breakfast all ready. I have stuff for a shower if you want to take one. I also have two presents for you.”

She giggles at me and walks into my room with a huge, bright grin. She looks around at the room. Pale blue walls. Pale gray laminate wood flooring. Brown wooden bed and desk. On the bed is a pale blue and bright blue comforter. A fireplace with a TV and couch stand across from my bed. “This is so calming. I love it.”

“It is calming. I am hyperactive and so is Atlas, so I wanted a calm place for me and him. This is our sanctuary. I am hoping that if we build a house like we have discussed that I can build something similar. It helps us focus when we can’t settle down. Especially at night.”

She smiles up at me. “That is amazing. I will make sure that you have a place like this for yourself and Atlas. I think it could easily help Mystery, Avalon, and Jackal.” I smile and nod. Goddess, this girl knows us so well already. It is a little surprising. “You guys have discussed building a house for the six of us?”

“Of course, Princess! We want this to all work out for everyone involved. Now, are you hungry?” She nods eagerly and I walk her over to the couch. We settle down on the couch together. I turn on Spongebob for us and we eat toasted bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. I look down at my princess who is cuddled into my side. “Sorry about the cartoon. Atlas and I love this show, especially in the morning.”

She giggles and cuddles into me more. “It’s okay, Carter. I like it so far. I would love to experience some more shows like this.”

We watch a couple episodes before I hand her two presents. “For you, My Princess.” She giggles and opens the first to reveal DaBomb bath bombs. I notice her smile and smile back. She opens the second one to reveal Aromatherapy shower steamers. “I wanted to give you something that could give you a spa day, but at home. I want you feel all good and pretty. Now, do you want to shower this morning?”

“No, but I do have a question. What scent are the bathroom products that you got me?”

“I got you the scent of Magic in the Air. I thought it smelled amazing. Atlas drew my attention to it because he loved the name. He thought it was entertaining and it reminded him of our date for today.”

“What are we doing today?”

“Horseback riding through Lost Forest and then we are going to explore the Lost Ruins a bit. Have a picnic there before returning for a nail appointment at four this afternoon. Or we can hang out here. Up to you, Princess! Your wish is my command!”

She giggles and snuggles into me even more. “I hear you love to ride horses and I would love to experience something you love for the first time.”

“Okay, Princess! Now, I am going to ask again. Do you want to shower first or wait?”

“I will wait until tonight since we are going horseback riding. When are we going to head out?”

“How about now? We can head out and head down to the ranch to get the horses that way we can start riding.”

I watch as her face lights up with excitement, which causes Atlas to bounce with excitement. I chuckle at them both. “Yes, please, Carter! I am so excited for this new experience.”

I wrap my arms around her as I smile. “I am glad, Princess. I am glad. Now, let’s head out!”
