I hissed at Elizabeth's friend, my eyes flashing with fury as I walked away.
“Can you imagine her audacity?” I yelled once I was out of range.
The audacity of that girl, daring to stand up to me like that. It was nothing short of bravery, stupid bravery!
But I was jealous for a little bit.
It was the kind that I wanted for myself but couldn't get, especially in times like this.
