Elizabeth’s Pov. The next day, I woke up to an empty bed which I hadn't quite gotten used to and for the first time in years, my brain actually registered that my best friend, Rose wasn't beside me. Her bed was empty and the side of my bed she always slept in was cold and still straightened. It felt painful to think more of it, her absence at that moment was like a gaping hole in my heart. My chest tightened a bit and then sank in. We had always been together, like two halves of a whole, and waking up alone made my morning already terrible. But I couldn't let it paralyze me.
