The walk our of the Alpha’s study was a whirlwind of emotions for me.
A mix of everything.
Relief.
Excitement.
Worry.
And a twinge of fear.
They were all mingled together in my chest, creating the perfect blend of a heavy breath smoothie with a side dish of anxiety.
I didn't know if I was to be grateful that the Alpha's verdict had been more merciful than I could have imagined or not.
He hadn't condemned Rose and me to exile or worse like I had hoped, instead, he said again that we would be mated together but closet than I thought.
And although Rose had been temporarily held in the dungeon, I knew she wouldn't be harmed.
