“ Hey wake you are going to be late for your morning run and I'm not willing to deal with your moody self,”
“ Jan what are you talking about, how do you know I go for morning runs,”
“ Jan? Who the hell is Jan, do you have a girlfriend I don't know about?”
“ Val?” I couldn't believe it, I was home, wait how was I home?
“ Why are you being all weird,”
“ What day is today?”
“ The day after yesterday, what exactly is wrong with you, I told you, you shouldn't be drinking, this happens every time you…,” How could I even let he finish that sentence, it had been almost a month, I had not hugged Val ever but seeing her again filled me with joy.
“ Do you think this is going to make me forgive you for all you said last night, you were very mean to me,”
“ I'm sorry how about, since it was the weekend let me make it up to you, let's go to that restaurant you like so much, I know you have been craving sushi,”
“ Did a demon possess you and can I slap you back you reality,”
“ I'll tell you later, now I need my coffee, sky didn't let me have coffee mostly because it can activate my omega powers,”
“ I think I should call 911 what is going on with you, you slept your normal hours, I can't be worried about you, I'm pregnant over here, so get yourself together,”
“ Yeah of course, sorry I've just really missed you, it's been almost a month over there,”
“ How about that coffee, maybe it will slap you awake, anyway I have to go for my check up,”
“ Can I come with you, it's not safe going alone,”
“ Now it's not safe, you don't have to pretend to care now, I know I messed up and I dragged you with me, it's my fault,”
I had forgotten how much I had broken my sister. I'm not perfect either, I was acting just like the jerk that hurt here, what kind of brother was I? But now that I was back, I would do everything for her to feel loved, it's the least I could do.
“ I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you, the thought of losing both you and my…”
“ Nephew, it's a boy,”
If I didn't have a policy that strong men shouldn't cry, especially in front of women, nothing would have stopped me from bursting into tears.
“ I'll prepare breakfast, you go for your run and then go to the hospital, that cool,”
“ You will let me take you?”
“ Yes, but mostly because you're acting weird,” thinking about her difference with Jan, Jan smiled a lot, just like Val used to but now, where did Val's smile go ?
Running around the neighborhood, it was evident, I was back home, but how, one minute I was heading to Sky's hospital the next I'm home. This just wasn't adding up. Was I just having a long dream? Or was this a long dream?
“ Hey Tine, going for your morning run?” Near our house was the kindest grandma who after our parents disappeared, she always brought food for us and helped in cleaning, even now that Val was pregnant she helped look after her.
“ Hey grandma Rose, why are you up so early,”
“ Well, I had a package delivered, so tell me how was your trip, meet any nice people,”
“ Grandma, you might have confused me to someone else, I haven't been anywhere since our parents died,”
“ Well why does it seem like I haven't seen you for a month, but it's fine, time seems to be slow around here, just one month seems like just eight hours of sleep I'm I right,” What was she saying, but again she was not as young as she was, her kid left her and all she had before me and Val was her walls.
“ Can you help me with the package, my dear Prem,”
“ It's Tine grandma,”
“ Of Course, my old mind, I mistook you for someone else,”
Leaving her house it was kind of sad, her memory was becoming worse, she was old now, she was the only family other than Val that I had, maybe it wasn't safe for her to be alone anymore.
“ Your back, how was your run,”
“ It was great actually, I met grandma Rose, she's becoming very forgetful, she doesn't even remember my name,”
“ I visited her once and she called me Jan, she always does that,”
“ Wait what did she call you again,”
“ I think it was Jan, why,”
“ I don't know, that name feels so familiar, like I've heard it before,”
“ it's not a special name, of course you have heard it somewhere, you know you have been acting weird since morning,”
“ I have? Maybe I was just tired, how was I weird,”
“ I actually don't even remember, are we going to the hospital or not?”
“ Yeah give me a minute to get ready,”
Have you ever felt like you are stuck not remembering something that you should. In the shower that's all I could think of, why was my mind this foggy, it was like my brain was hiding something from me.

“ Grandma, what did you do? First you told me to impregnate his sister and leave her now you are out her being all weird spying on them,”
“ You getting her pregnant was meanth to happen, my dear Jay,”
“ But why tell me to leave her, I really like her grandma, and being a father,”
“ You are not the father of that child, I want you to get that straight into your head, that child is far more important than you, let's just hope Peat can overcome his part of challenge, Tine is not an easy one to deal with,”
“But grandma?”
“ Look me in the eyes my dear, you four are very important to the world, so for now you are going to go home, and you are going to forget this conversation happened, you refused anything to do with Val on your own, go back to being yourself.”
