PEAT'S POV
“You asked to see me, how can I help you dad,”seeing his expression I definitely knew this conversation was going to head south very fast.
“ Here's one way you can help, give me a grandson, you know one would think it's easy, so what's stopping you from doing so, aaah let me guess, it's the smell or luck of chemistry, you know if you weren't my only son I would have disowned you by now.”
In my head I really wanted to ask what was really stopping him from doing that, most people would just adopt or remarry but no, both of us were stuck together and there was nothing I could do about it.
“I'm trying, I just need more time,”
“ And what gave you the idea that I gave out time, you never know what can happen in any second, so try harder or I'll just have to go with plan B, and you are definitely not going to like it,”
“ Has it come to you threatening your own son?”
“ If that's what it takes, just keep doing your best because there are other ways I could get a grandson from you,”seeing the expression on his face, it wasn't going to be a good thing.
“ Which is,”
“ I'll just have you get pregnant instead, I'm pretty sure you've heard about enigmas, don't let me result in that, now get out of my office and get me a grandson.
You know you would think that living with my father I was used to him treating me like this, but each and every time I hear him talk I want to struggle him to his death, but that would make me alone, and papa would never forgive me if I did.
“ What did you father say,”
“ You can read the walls rose, you tell me,”
“ You can not let him do that, an enigma is known for stealing alpha powers and once you are done giving birth you became a beta,”
“ Why I'm I starting to think it's probably not the worst idea in the world,”
“ Your father finally broke you,”
“ Of Course he did not, what more can he break when I was already broken,”
Listening to me, one would think how I'm the strongest alpha in the country. I could personally trade it for peace if I could, I feel like someone put a curse on me to never be happy.
“ Enough with that, did you find him,”
“ Who the hell do you think I am, of course I did but you will want a glass for this one, this boy is not just special, he's really unique,”
“ I could have told you that,”
“ I knew if I needed information I had to follow is ‘ husband’,”
“ Sky is not his husband,”
“ Don't you think I don't know that, turns out that Sky found him on lying on the road about two days ago, that's not the fascinating part, he can switch to who ever in the chart he wants, mostly he can switch from an alpha to omega at will and you would think that was awesome he's also not from around here,”
“ Big deal not everyone was born in this city,”
“ You are just an i***t sometimes, I meant not from this universe,”
“Way to be out of your mind, people are just making assumptions anyway neither of that is my concern what I want is where I can find him,”
“ He went to work with his hubby, what a way to make their marriage story believable,” I don't know what got in me but I was not ready to see anyone take him away from me.
Driving to the hospital, I only had one thought in mind, to get what rightfully belonged to me back, I knew he wouldn't be happy to see me but I didn't care. I walked out of the car after arrival and walked straight to where he was. It was like a hunch that led me to him, but seeing him now I knew he wasn't going to be happy to see him.
“ I would repeat myself, who did this to my sister,” it was his sister, the girl I mishandled was his sister, and of course she was, this was the universe puting distance between me and happiness again.
Staring at his anger blow up because of me, I really wanted to go and explain myself, but what would I tell him, ‘ I'm sorry I almost killed your sister’ or maybe one of ‘ if I knew she was your sister, I wouldn't have done it,’
“ Wow, bro whoever cursed you, was really not happy with you, there goes you chances, wait why are those people following him,”
We had to follow him in discretion, one wrong move and he saw me. I didn't want him to hate me even more than he does now, if that was even possible.
“ What's an enigma,” when he asked that in the most curious face I couldn't help but conclude that he really didn't come from this world.
“ Wow this boy is more powerful than I thought, if the government were to know about this,”
“ I won't let that happen,”
“Most enigmas are known to summon alphas and the alpha can't even I definitely them, but this boy both summoned and identified one, even I'm curious about him,”
Rose was right if the government, which again my father is the head of, found him, they would do all they could to find out ways to own him, but I would never let that happen. It was time for me to protect what belongs to me.
“ I need eyes and ears around him, any suspicious movement should be reported back to me,” the least I could do for now is have people I trust around him.
“ This boy's powers are incredible, they made you step up, I'm happy to see this side of you, I'm going to help you,”
“ Thought you are going back home, you have a child on the way,”
“ And miss all the fun? Boy you can't get rid of me and besides that child will be the most protected being to ever exist.”
“ Then buckle up, it's not going to be easy,” that for sure I knew.
