“Do we have a mate?”

I asked with my emotions piling up. Lyla wanked her tail and responded

“Of course we do, it is someone you've always wanted to have as a mate”

“Who is he?”

I questioned almost immediately and Lyla responded

“Alpha Bryan! He is our mate"

Hearing this made me happier. I can't believe that the person I've always wished to be close to is exactly my mate. I jumped out of excitement.

“Really? Alpha Bryan is our mate?”

I questioned and Lyla gestured. I can't wait to finally announce this to Alpha Bryan, he will be so delighted that the mate he's been seeking for all these years is in fact his maid.

Lyla disappeared from the mirror and my eyes went back to normal.

It was dusk and I didn't expect it to be so soon. Nonetheless, I have to tell Bryan the truth; I am his mate.

I didn't wait for Cassandra to remind me of my duties so I wouldn't want to see her face first, I want to see Alpha Bryan's first.

I knocked and he responded with his thick voice

“Come in”

Immediately I entered his room, our mate bond connected. The vertical glow connected our hands, this made me more delighted.

“So you finally found out?”

He asked to my astonishment. He was confident in his inquiry and I responded with an inquiry

“You knew from the beginning?”

“Yes, I do. For two years now, I've known that you are my mate…”

He responded with a cheerful face. His hand was still in his pocket when I asked

“But why didn't you inform me? You knew that I was your mate but you allowed Raymond and Cassandra to treat me ?”

“Why would I do that? I didn't inform you because I have been waiting for this special day!”

He said and halted, then continued

“A day to make everything clear to you!”

“What do you mean by that?”

I inquired and he replied

“Because you are my fated mate and someone else is my chosen mate!”

His utterance baffled me more. What could he mean by his chosen mate, is he gonna… No, I must think positively.

“Shocked?”

“Still mysterious, I came here to inform you about our bond. But you are giving me the opposite of what I expected!”

I responded and he burst into laughter. I was shocked to see him laugh as it was the first time he laughed in my presence. He hardly smiles. The only person he smiles at is Selena. But this is not friendly laughter, there is more to this.

“You are so dumb, Estelle! Do you possibly think that I will accept you as my mate? Not in this world will that be possible, okay?”

“But why?”

I questioned almost breaking down when he caressed my lips and pulled them hard. He pushed me to the nearest wall and sniffed my neck.

“Because you are weak! I can never claim you as my Luna because you are a liability! You will only add to my problems not to my solutions!”

I gazed at him and said

“But I just got my wolf today…”

“Yes, but you haven't claimed it, am I right? That's because you are too weak to do that!”

He left me and took a bottle of wine in the stool nearby. I thought that this approach would be positive and never imagined it would turn out this way. My balls were still dancing when I uttered

“Bryan, we can still talk about this”

“There is nothing left for us to talk about! You are weak and I will never claim you as my mate!”

I walked to him and boldly said to him the same way Selena did.

“Tell me, will you reject me and let me be a rogue?”

“Far from that, I will reject you ten times if I have the power to do so!”

He responded, breaking my heart the more. Before I could utter another word, Bryan shook his hands in his pocket and said

“I, Bryan Thale, Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack reject you, Estelle Cormac, as my mate!”

He raised his gaze to my eyeballs and I concentrated on his eyes when I said

“I, Estelle Cormac, omega of Crescent Moon Pack, accept your rejection!”

The mate bond cut immediately and I felt a painful hit on my chest after my proclamation. I was holding my chest when Bryan removed his hands from his pockets and exclaimed

“What! You accepted…”
