Eviena was stunned for a moment and then jumped back with a horrified and madly thumping heart.
She just bumped into a young woman with a tray filled with food. And at the moment, all the food was scattered on the floor. That girl also did not expect this and was in a shocking state. Both kept staring at each other in surprise.
"What just happened here!?" A surprised and angry female tone came their way. Immediately the young maid became cautious around her and started cleaning the messy floor.
Eviena turned beside and she saw a middle-aged woman coming towards them. She was angry and dissatisfied. And of course, she should be. All the things have been messed up by her!
"What is happening here, Celine? How did you drop everything?" She stood holding her waist with a frowning brow. Wearing a white blouse with a long black pencil skirt. Her orange hair was tied up in a high bun and her hazel eyes were very disappointed at the moment.
She looked like a typical angry principal of the boarding school to Eviena. And suddenly she was scared. Because in her experience, the boarding school principal has no mercy!
She quickly nodded at her. "I.I am sorry. It was my fault. I just bumped into her." She quickly apologised and squatted down with the maid and started cleaning.
However, suddenly she felt something different and when she looked up, both women Were staring at her with wide eyes.
"Umm.." Eviena stood up quietly. "I am sorry." She apologised again, not knowing what to say.
The elder woman smiled softly. Immediately the angry and intimidating look from her disappeared. Instead, a very soft and kind expression took the place.
She was Marina Granton. The housekeeper and a mother-like figure to Ruslan. She was Igor's aunt.
"It's alright. It was not your fault." Marina already liked the girl.

Eviena looked up at Marina and again took her gaze back at the decorated foods in front of her.
After the sudden accident in front of the room, Marina almost dragged Eviena to the dining hall for the breakfast.
She has never come across such delicious foods. All were looking healthy and mouth-watering. But, as a wounded and ignorant girl, Eviena always knew 'There is nothing free in the world'.. people would give something for free when only they wanted something back. Her life has taught her very simple things in a hard way.
She did not proceed to eat though she was hungry. She wanted to know their real motives for kidnapping her. Even though they did not torture her till now and were so kind to her. Which was making her more suspicious of them.
At first that gorgeous intimidating man and now this woman. She was looking kind to her, but whenever she thought a person was good-hearted they would appear more evil in the end.
Moreover, watching all these never seen delicious foods made her more doubtful. In her previous days, she has been fed well just to be slaughtered for their own selfishness. So, for Eviena, delicious foods were not desired but a terrifying situation.
'I don't know what they want from me. These people definitely did not kidnap me just to be kind to me. I won't eat and let them use me for their selfishness. But, what is that they want?' Her mind was a mess since last night.
Eviena knew how to tolerate hunger and it was much better than accepting physical tortures. Instead, she looked up at Marina once again. "Why are you doing this?" She said in a low tone.
Marina was very cautious with her every word after hearing doctor Makarova last night. Though she has yelled and even throw a few tantrums over Ruslan for kidnapping this little innocent at first, no matter how much she tried to make her understand that it was for Inessa. But, hearing what she could possibly pass through in her life, she thought Ruslan did something right in a wrong way.
The doctor also said that her past memories generally could make her sensitive and they should be careful with their every action. And the doctor's guess was accurate. Surely, Eviena was very sensitive in trusting. She could not trust anyone because of the previous occurrences taken place in her life.
Marina sat down beside her and touched the back of her hand. In one part, she was guilty because of Ruslan's deed and in another part, she was happy to save her.
"Don't worry, my sweet. We are not here trying to harm you." Her expectant eyes searched for some relief of small belief in Eviena's eyes. But, there was nothing but coldness in it.
Marina sighed in guilt and sadness. "I understand your insecurity. You might be thinking why he brought you here." She did not mention kidnapping. Because she herself never like the idea of poisoning life in a place. So, she never wanted to think of this girl as the abducted.
"Why?" Eviena asked, never leaving her eyes from Marina's for once. This was her way of being sharp and cautious about the front person. Fear has gone from her a long ago. Now, she just walked with the flow of life. Still, she wanted to know the valid reason for bringing her here.
Marina again sighed inwardly. 'I can't lower my Ruslan, but I also can not lie to this innocent soul.' She thought and took a pause. Later, She said "This is something I can't tell, Eviena. But, I assure you, nothing bad will happen to you. Nobody here will harm you. Everything will be fine. Believe me."
Eviena carefully watched those hazel eyes. This woman seemed genuine and here was the biggest fear for her. What if she turned out wrong for trusting her!?
She took her hand back from Marina's touch and turned her head to the food. "You will get nothing for me."
Marina shook her head "no one is wanting anything from you." She again holds her hands. This time more firmly to give her a strong assurance.
Eviena turned her gaze back to Marina and she nodded. "Trust me. I will not let anyone harm you." This time her words hit a very sensitive spot inside Eviena's heart.
For the second time in her life, she heard those words. They hold a deep emotion for her. Her mother used to tell her and after she died this was the first time. Marina's appearance was nothing less than motherly and those words felt so strong and true at the moment.
Eviena decided to trust her this time. She nodded and again turned to face the decorated foods. Yet, there was another problem."I am alone. Ho..how can I eat all these?" Voice low in astonishment.
Marina chuckled "Doctor has strictly asked you to take nutritious foods and eat a lot. You don't have a choice to skip." Marina replied with the same strictness but with enough love mixed in it.
"But..." Eviena was about to open her mouth in protest. However, Marina stopped her by pushing a food-filled spoon into her mouth. "Good kids don't talk while eating. Now, stop bushing around and eat like a good girl."
The intimidating principal side returned in her. Eviena did not dare to protest anymore and ate quietly like a good girl.
