With the sudden revelation, Eviena could not speak for a certain minute. After regaining her inner control she again fixed her gaze on the intimidating man in front. "Does she know?" Her voice was low this time. She became confused about whom to trust at the moment.
Ruslan's deep gaze already calculated her inner thoughts. As a businessman in the dark world, he has grown up his understanding of senses harder. Seeing a person he could find out most of their inside stories. He shook his head "no, she does not. She is searching for you."
With his answer, Eviena felt a little light inside her heart. She has started trusting people with Inessa, if she came out as a betrayer, Eviena did not know what would have she done!
Ruslan watched the relieved expression which somehow made his heart light too. "Yes, I have kidnapped you." He agreed to the term and Eviena's eyes snapped up at him as he continued, "my intention was not to hurt you but to have a hold of my sister." He also confessed that.
Eviena's brows furrowed slightly. "What does it has to do with me?"
Ruslan moved on his place. One would say he just got serious. Yet, he was nervous as hell from inside. All the thanks to his self-control that he was not exposed to this side of him. "It certainly has things to do with you, miss Eviena." He took a dramatic pause then continued "My sister is a bit stubborn. She was angry and ran away from home. Does not matter what we do she would not come back. And it's not safe for her to roam around alone." He stopped again.
Eviena was listen to his explanation silently. "It still did not clear what it has to do with me?"
"Though she was not living here, I have always kept my eyes on her to protect her. And then a month ago you started living with her. At first, I did not take it seriously." (He lied a bit with seriousness. In fact he was so concerned when he found Eviena living with Inessa.) "However, she was very protective of you. And that was new for us. We have never seen Inessa in that way before. So, I have brought you here."
Eviena's brow arched up in confusion. The more he explains the more it was complicated for her without being cleared. "I still am not understanding my role here. This is between you and your sister. Then why I am here?" She was trying to remain calm as much as possible.
Ruslan leaned forward. "Now I want your help in this."
Eviena frowned. "What help?"
"I have brought you here because knowing this Inessa will certainly come home for you." Finally, he explained it.
Eviena finally realized the reason for her. Though it was a kind of stupid thing she has ever faced in life. It was also a relief for her that he did not want anything else from her. Little did she know her relief was going to tear with his next words.
"There is something more, miss Eviena," Ruslan spoke all of a sudden earning her all attention on him once again. She gave him a confused look. "What is it?" The nerve-wracking situation she had a few seconds ago has gone now.
"After knowing you are here, Inessa will come but won't stay with us. She will leave with you again. And this is not what I want. So, there is something else I want from you. You can also take it as a little charity help." Ruslan could not believe his ears that he actually said that!
'Yes of course! I have to degrade myself in front of her for her own good! What the hell I am doing!?' He scoffed in mind but smiled a little at her.
Eviena's heart gave a little flip with that smile. It made him look more gorgeous and somewhat different! She clutched the hem of her dress under the table to calm down her inner self. "What charity help?"
"I don't want my sister to leave the house anymore. And you are the way for that. If you stay here permanently, then only she will be convinced to live here."
Eviena did not know what to think at this point. How could she just live with them permanently! Yes, she was glad that Inessa had helped and she would always be grateful to them.
It was clear he wasn't finished yet. "How is that possible? How could I live here all my life!?" She looked at him in confusion. Her questioning gaze was urging him to speak and complete his sentence. With his words, she was sensing something wrong.
"Well, I have come up with a solution for this." Ruslan again stopped.
This time Eviena was almost out of patience. "What is it, Mr Delgado? Please don't take uncertain pauses." She did not hide her anxiety this time.
Ruslan fixed his eyes on her ivory one. He has thought about it several times and this would be the best solution for her. Now the only concern was her trust in his story.
"Marry me, miss Eviena."
